It was acknowledged that the Minister had acquired information on the University of Kynrenia new faculty buildings’ University of Kyrenia Hospital, and that he also shared his projects regarding the universities on the island.

Further to the above, it was pointed out that the Minister had visited the exhibition of the photography competition themed as “Blue”, which was organised by the University of Kyrenia Foundation, in addition to his visit to the Çanakkale Naval War Exhibition on the campus.

It was expressed that Representative Rector of the University of Kyrenia; Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu, Dean of Faculty of Maritime Studies Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç; Dean of Faculty of Maritime Management Prof. Dr. Aysel Karafistan; and Head of University of Kyrenia Foundation Mutlu Soykurt had greeted the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Fikri Ataoğlu and that he was provided information regarding the university.

Prof.Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu: “We are honoured and happy to see that you have accepted our invitation and visited us. We would like to inform you that we are ready to cooperate with your ministry!”

Minister of Environment and Tourism, Fikri Ataoğlu: “We are fully aware of the significant research that the University of Kyrenia is conducting in the Mediterranean!”

It was revealed that the Mister of Environment and Tourism Fikri Ataoğlu expressed that a forest area will be provided to all the universities and they will be cooperating with the universities to conduct joint projects to promote the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on an international platform.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, the Minister had made visits to both the exhibition regarding the photography competition and also the visit regarding the Çanakkale Naval War Exhibition. Subsequently, the Minister of Environment and Tourism Fikri Ataoğlu was presented a plaque by the Representative Rector of the University of Kyrenia, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu .
