As part of its social responsibility projects, University of Kyrenia Foundation organised its first “Are you ready for friendship?” Astroturf football tournament was jointly held by Çatalköy Municipality and University of Kyrenia at the Çatalköy Düzkaya Sport Field.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, Head of University of Kyrenia Foundation, Mutlu Soykurt, expressed that eleven football teams consisting of University of Kyrenia students, academic members and staff and that the event was completed delightfully; with friendship and cooperation.

University of Kyrenia and Çatalköy Municipality jointly organised the event and subsequent to the football tournament, a ceremony was organised on University of Kyrenia campus. It was pointed out that Head of University of Kyrenia Foundation Mutlu Soykurt had made a speech, stating that ‘friendship, cooperation and social responsibility’ won at the tournament. He added that with the income of the tournament, they will be helping Cuma Cemiloğlu Nursery school in Karakum. Following this, a visit of courtesy was realized to Mayor of Çatalköy Municipality, Mehmet Hulusioğlu, to express gratitude for the cooperation.
