Faculty members, students and technical staff of the University of Kyrenia visited Lapethos Eventide Home residents. During the visit that organized voluntarily by the University of Kyrenia within the scope of social responsibility, emotional moments were experienced while the University of Kyrenia was presenting gifts to the residents of Lapethos Eventide Home. The residents were extremely pleased with the visit.

Projects are being actualized in every field to provide contribution to the city of Kyrenia…

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Kyrenia, the university with a vast participation paid a visit to the eventide home in Lapethos. It was stated that the University of Kyrenia, which attaches utmost importance on social responsibility projects, would continue to work to provide contribution in every field ranging from city’s nature to its residents by embracing the city of Kyrenia.

Students fed the aged residents with their own hands…..

During the visit that organized to visit the residents of Lapethos Eventide Home and ensure a smile on their faces even for a few hours, students experienced the happiness of spending time with the aged people confined to bed and feeding them with their own hands.

Delivering an explanation regarding the issue, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hürmüs Refiker, Secretary the General of the University of Kyrenia, voiced the happiness of providing contribution to Kyrenia in every domain as the University of Kyrenia. “As the University of Kyrenia, we want to provide contribution in every field to the city that we bear its name. Even the smallest contribution that we provide for Kyrenia and its people make us extremely pleased. To this end, we attach utmost importance on projects regarding especially social responsibility and actualize them. What a happiness for us, if we could ensure a smile on their faces albeit a few hours by visiting the aged residents of Lapethos Eventide Home. We wanted to make them feel that we haven’t forgotten them and we will always be with them. I hope we have achieved it. As the University of Kyrenia, with our students, academics and technical staff we are here and today has been extremely significant for us. Our visit is not a once-off; we will make it ongoing in order to make them feel that we do always remember them. Today Lapethos Eventide Home residents have become very happy with our visit, we are happier than them due to their happiness. In this regard, we will keep our works ongoing” said she.
