It was revealed that a cooperation protocol has been signed between Celal Bayar University and University of Kyrenia. The protocol is said to be signed to improve and develop the communication between the two universities, including the sharing the facilities that each university offers.

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, both universities tend to actualise projects involving education, science, culture and art, and making joint studies between the academic members of both universities. The protocol was expressed to be signed by the Acting Rector of University of Kyrenia, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu, and Rector of Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. A.Kemal Çelebi.

Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu: “We have signed a protocol which we believe will be beneficial for both universities!”

Making a speech at the protocol signing ceremony, Acting Rector of University of Kyrenia, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu, expressed that they were certain that the cooperation protocol will be beneficial to both parts and added that the accumulated knowledge and expertise of both universities would make positive contribution to the university being cooperated with. He further added that once cooperation has been established with a worthwhile university, they were sure to obtain jointly made achievements.

Also making a speech at the protocol signing ceremony, Rector of Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kemal Çelebi said that University of Kyrenia was established over 37 years of experience and knowledge. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kemal Çelebi stated that they were looking forward to cooperate with University of Kyrenia and added that with this step taken, they were keen on to cooperate in scientific research, projects and publications, which all play their part in publicising both universities, alongside making contributions to the field of education.
